ThinkBikes addresses the critical need for sustainable and efficient transportation solutions, particularly in regions with limited access to traditional infrastructure. Our innovative electric cargo bicycles offer a practical and eco-friendly alternative for smallholder farmers, waste management initiatives, and logistics companies facing challenges with last-mile delivery and transportation of goods.
The problem we're solving is twofold: first, the lack of affordable and accessible means of transport for smallholder farmers and businesses in remote areas, leading to post-harvest losses, reduced income, and limited market access. Second, the environmental impact of traditional transportation methods, such as fossil fuel-powered vehicles, contributes to air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
Our solution involves the development and deployment of electric cargo bicycles equipped with a 300 kg cargo capacity and a 1.2kWh battery for a range of 50 km to 100km. These bikes are designed to be durable, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable, offering a reliable mode of transportation for agricultural produce, waste collection, and logistics operations.
Our business model incorporates a leasing and pay-as-you-go model, making our electric cargo bicycles affordable and accessible to smallholder farmers and businesses with limited capital. We generate revenue through bike leasing fees, maintenance services, and potential partnerships with local governments and organisations.
In terms of impact, ThinkBikes aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, alleviate poverty among smallholder farmers, create job opportunities, and improve overall transportation efficiency.
